coffee buzz, argyle socks

Looking up
I’m staring past leaves,
Branches, feeling better
Than I look–leaned back,
Coffee buzz,
Argyle socks.

From where I sit:
Sixteen shades of green,
A memorial hastily erected to
The daylight hours,
The meek expenditure of labor.
One brick building
Abutted with
One brick building.
I have beer on the mind,
No matter the kind.
“If you put me under a beer light
I look pretty cool”
Me too, Bill, me too.
I look over the top of
My reading glasses. They’ve
Given me a new personality, or
An old saw to mimic.
The words are bigger now,
Without blur or shifty feet.
Word after word after word,
One after the other, just as
I love them most.

What do you think is up to my right in the picture? A cob web? Probably a cob web. Or maybe it's my Beatles records on top of my air conditioner. It's certainly not fresh, new wainscoting.
